Many ways to get it right.
There are many ways to work with our chutes: solo, hoof trimmer and helper, two hoof trimmers, one chute, many chutes etc.
Working as a team while trimming requires trust, as the flow around the chute has to be coordinated to achieve the best result for hoof trimmer, cow and farmer. Igal and Henning have been working together for 4 years and have developed their own flow around the chute, which is based on Igal’s almost 30 years of experience as a hoof trimmer. They start from the right front side of the chute and their movement around the chute is coordinate down to the smallest detail, such as the way they apply a shoe. Team work is about being better together and Igal and Henning is definitely a good example of this.
